New York State has a new public matching campaign funds program. Candidates who receive contributions between $5.00 and $250.00 from residents of their legislative districts can apply for generous matching funds from the NYS Board of Elections. The contributions must come from natural persons 18 years or older, not from groups or organizations; must be made from their personal funds; and the donor must be a resident of the legislative district. It can be a one-time contribution or contributions in the aggregate up to $250 made between now and the June 25 Democratic Primary Election. The minimum contribution that is eligible for matching funds is $5; the maximum is $250.

Here are some matches:
A $5 contribution = $65 to the campaign.
$25 =   $325
$50 =   $650
$100 = $1,150
$250 = $2,550.
